Member's Multimedia Night MMN is a staple favourite but only exists and works with input from YOU! Please get in touch if you have mountain-related stories to share and don't be shy.
[Note: All speaker and mountain-related subjects are eligible for air-time. Please email if you are interested in a slot. Plan on speaking for 5-10 mins, with QUALITY as a priority over quantity of content].
External Speaker - James Edwards “Edwardian Adventures (Tales of Modern Alpinism)”
Not a historical retrospective, as the title may suggest, but a journey into the climbing adventures of one James Edwards. James has been a keen new router up in Scotland over the last decade and has transferred these skills to tackle adventurous faces as far away as the Himalaya and Southern Alps of New Zealand. During the evening James will take us through some of his new routing trips and discuss the idea that you don’t have to be a superhero to have adventures.
At homes - Social evenings - are held on the third Thursday of each month except

corner of Essex Street - Devereux Court is about 50 yards down on the left.
From Temple tube turn left as you leave the station and mount the steps into
Temple Place; turn right and follow Temple Place to where it bends right to
meet the Embankment; across the road is a red telephone box at the entrance to
Milford Lane; follow this lane (20 yards) to a set of narrow steps leading to
the south end of Essex Street, keep walking - Devereux Court is the first
turning you come to on your right
Sometimes we have a purely social evening or a quiz night but most At Homes are
talks and slide or movie presentations by outside speakers or talented club
members on climbing and mountaineering related topics. These are mostly very
good ! Watch out for the March one as we have our Annual General Meeting then -
very dull to an outsider !
We have an annual dinner-dance at a hotel in Snowdonia.
