Winter Scrambling/Mountaineering - Scotland
4 Mar 2016 to 8 Mar 2016

Winter scrambling and low grade winter mountaineering in Scotland for those looking to complete some Grade I/II Scottish winter routes whilst gaining experience of winter conditions and ropework.

The meet will be based between Fort William and Aviemore (depending on available accommodation) to allow access to the Cairngorms, the Ben Nevis massif and Craig Meagaidh depending on conditions and route choices.

The routes may vary from ungraded winter walking routes such as the traverse of the Grey Corries, to Grade I and II winter routes such as the Carn Mor Dearg arĂȘte or Ledge Route on Ben Nevis, or Raeburn's Gully in Creag Meagaidh. The routes chosen will depend on the composition of the group and the conditions.

Experience of winter walking essential and experience of ropework (and own gear) highly desirable.

Further information on accommodation to be posted in the New Year.
