Skye
2 Jun 2007 to 9 Jun 2007

Skye has the most dramatic mountains in the UK. The Black Cuillin are spectacular and rugged. Scrambling is required to reach many of the summits and a few require rock climbing, such as the Inaccessible Pinnacle and the Bhasteir Tooth. Many consider the Main Ridge Traverse to be the finest mountaineering excursion in Britain. There are many climbs, including those on the Cioch (featured in the film Highlander)! Hill walking options are numerous, including the wild and beautiful Trotternish Ridge and Bla Bheinn. Staying at a bunkhouse (sleeps 14) close to Talisker, with panoramic views of the mountains and sea.
