The Forest of Bowland is one of the least known upland areas of England, a large open moorland with remote river valleys above Lancaster. This weekend will take in the highest and wildest areas; starting from a camping barn near Clitheroe on Friday night with two days' walking from Dunsop Bridge staying over at an eco-friendly bunkhouse (and Yurt!) at Roeburndale West on the Saturday. Transport: a drive up the M6 or train to Preston or Clitheroe.
