There are over 1200 routes on the two islands of Malta and Gozo, the climbing is mostly trad with at least a third graded at VS or below. Also for anyone that way inclined it is a mecca for deep water soloing.
The island is relatively small so most of the crags will be no more than a 30 mins drive. The plan is to hire a large villa (with pool) for as many as we can fit in and then organize a fleet of cheap hire cars to get us about. As long as we book well in advance flights should be under £120 and accommodation (hopefully) no more than £80. The Malta guide came out last summer and is on sale at most climbing shops- have a browse is you want more detailed info.
