The Gritstone Gallop
26 Jun 2009 to 27 Jun 2009

Following on from the great success (?!) of the 'Gallop' last year we are running this meet again with the WMC.

The 'Gallop' is about 12 miles in length, and is done entirely on foot (and hands!).
It starts in the High Neb area of Stanage in the Peak District and ends at Birchens Edge, a route is climbed on every edge/crag on the way - usually about 12.
The route, crags, routes you climb and the grade at which you climb, are entirely up to you (you can even walk it if you like), but usually includes all the Classic Gritstone Edges in the East Peak.
However your grade for the 'Gallop' is the lowest grade you climb on the day!

The object of the day is to have FUN! However due to the ‘Need for Speed’ on the rock throughout the day...
This meet is best suited to climbers who have experience of climbing on grit.

More details will be posted on the bulletin board later in the year (Meets Section) - or check last years post.
