Meet Details

Chew valley
7 Aug 2009 to 8 Aug 2009

Ok this meet is off to the wilds of the Chew valley in the north west peak aiming to visit Wimberry, often described as the cinderella of the peak and Dovestones.
Both are in dramatic if somewhat isolated locations, yes your going to have to walk in. But enroute to Wimberry you will be spoilt by a series of superb boulder problems to divert your attention from the up hill flog. To then be spoilt some more by a series of classic grit stone climbs in a dramatic setting with great views.
The down side, you knew there had to be one, is that it's north facing. But it's August so will be dry and not green and you won't have to queue for your routes either.
Maintaining this spirit of adventure will be a visit to Dovestones which has a truly wide grade range (some thing for everyone)of climbs and even gets some sun, well in the afternoon any way.
So see you there, unless of course you actually want to go to Fronwydyr and be surrounded by screaming parents!!
