This year the LMCs annual Alpine pilgrimage will be to Arolla. A destination that the club has not visited for a number of years.
Arolla is a village in the municipality of Evolène in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. It is situated at the end of the Val d'Hérens south of Sion at 1998m altitude in the Pennine Alps.
This is a truly beautiful part of Switzerland and there is plenty to do for all mountaineering abilities from large 4000m peaks, to lovely high Alpine walks.
