Unfortunately, due to flight cancellations, and changing government advice on travel, this meet has been cancelled for this year. We plan to do it again next year.
Corsica is an ideal destination for various activities, both sports and trad climbing, single pitch and long multi-pitch climbs, as well as lots of walking trails all completed with the snowy view of mountains.
The weather should still be warm enough at the end of August for outdoor acitivities but with reduced intensity of sun.
Location & Accomodation:
We will be staying in the Monte Cinto area with close access to the climbing areas of Corti and Paglia Orba. Depending on the number, we will book a villa or spaces in a mountain hut.The closest airport is Bastia.
Flight:
Recommended flight for the meet is the easyJet flight from either Stansted or Gatwick to Bastia on Aug 30th morning and returning to Gatwick on Sep 6th, which is currently starts at around 120 GBP.
