A weekend of training from qualified mountain leaders and climbing instructors.
If you're new to scrambling or traditional climbing or want to improve your trad leading then this is the meet for you!
Training will take place over the Saturday and Sunday and participants can choose one of 3 options:
1. Mountain walking and scrambling (inc. navigation)
2. Intro to traditional climbing
3. Improvers traditional climbing (for those that are already comfortable leading V Diff - Severe)
Cost
Exact costs have yet to be determined and will depend on the numbers who sign up and which instructors are available, but ranges are given below. The figures do not include camp site fees.
Intro/Improvers Trad climbing: £150 to £200 per person for the 2 days based on a participant instructor ratio of 2:1. Includes all gear except harness and shoes.
Mountain Walking/Scrambling: around £60 - £100 for the two days. Assuming a participant instructor ratio of 4:1
How to book:
A deposit of £30 is payable when signing up to the meet. Please indicate in the comments section which training option you're interested in and we'll use this to determine how many instructors we need for each activity.
In order to have enough time to book instructors we request that participants book and pay their deposit by 6th June. We can't guarantee that we can offer places to those that sign up after this date.
If you sign up and pay the deposit then there's an expectation that you attend the course and pay the fees in full since individual cancellations may not be possible with the instructors.
