Join me for a circular day hike through Dorking, length about 22 kms.
The plan is to start at 9am sharp at West Dorking station (I could be persuaded to start earlier, if people are up for it).
There is off-street parking around West Dorking. Anyone coming from London via train will probably arrive at Dorking Main or Dorking Deepdene station - from there it is a shortish walk to West Dorking, but I am happy to pick people up.
The hike is long but not very hard - there aren't any overly steep sections and the paths are well maintained. A good portion of the walk is shaded. We will pass through absolutely stunning ancient forests and gorgeous hillsides with fantastic views.
The hike will take between 6 and 7 hours, depending on whether or not we stop off at a pub for a pint half way through :-).
