For anyone who did the champagne challenge and was thinking whilst at it, ‘why the hell am I doing it? ‘ And I will never ever initiate anything like this again’, here comes chapter two ; The Hot Chocolate Challenge (HCC).

With only 8 hours of daylight in March, there would be many hours or walking in the dark.
The route is based on the Champagne Challenge route, clockwise or counter clockwise from the hut, circa 55k with 5,000m ascent.
Subject to the ground, snow, wind and general weather conditions in March, I estimate 25-30 hours to complete the route. Any finisher, will receive a cup of a hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows, prepared by the teams arrived before.
Tried to depict a realistic picture of what can be fun but also gruesome at times..
Gear - will see closer to the date, subject to weather, if full winter gear is required
